Favorites are essentially links to web pages or websites that you view most often. However, you have to add a link to a certain site to your favorites toolbar first, to be able to access it via the favorites button later. However, this can be impossible if the favorites bar is not visible and especially if you don't know how to make it show again. The solution depends on which operating system you are using on your PC.
The problem is quite common with Internet Explorer especially if you have upgraded to Internet Explorer 9 or 11. That is because, the software developers were trying to increase the usable space by hiding toolbars. The good news is that it is easy to show the Favorites toolbar and enjoy its benefits even with these new browser models. The operating system can also affect the visibility of the favorite toolbar because the list of favorite websites in Internet Explorer is stored in a folder in a computer's hard disk. Therefore, if you delete the folder then automatically the browser cannot display the favorites list located on your IE favorites bar .
The first thing you should do when you want to show the favorites bar is to:
Open the Internet Explorer browser and open the view menu by clicking Alt+V to open the view.
Next click toolbars and choose menu bar, and then favorites, status bar or command bar
You can display one tool bar at a time and repeat this process if you want to show all the toolbars on Internet Explorer.
right-click an empty space on the title bar and click favorites bar to show or hide it.
If you want to add a link to your favorites bar, the process is just as simple. You will only have to
click add to favorites bar button, and the link will appear as a star on the toolbar
You can now go ahead and click the button to open the site in a current active tab or a different one
But what happens when the help menu is not available either? This phenomenon is quite common while using the Internet Explorer 9. Fortunately, this is also easy to fix because you will only have to
press the Alt key on the keyboard. This enables and disables the menu bar.
Additionally you can also show the menu bar by
right-clicking on a blank space on the top of the Internet Explorer just like you can do with the favorites bar.
It is also necessary to remember that if the Favorites bar fails to show clearly, you can
right-click the IE Favorites bar and then
click Lock the Toolbars.
This will immediately clear the check mark. You can then drag the favorites bar to the left to show your web slices, feeds, and favorites.
On the other hand, if you want to hide the favorites bar, you should do the reverse of the above-mentioned process. That means that you will
click view on the menu bar and
then point at toolbars. Once the toolbars come into focus, you can
deselect the favorite bar
Ideally, with these simple steps, you can show or hide Favorite bars in Internet Explorer in seconds.
